John the Baptist was the forerunner of Jesus’ ministry giving of himself to the people to “repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand”, to let them know that there is salvation through Jesus Christ. He wanted sinners to get off the crooked and beaten path, off the paved road, off the road that many have traveled and get on the straight road for the Lord Jesus Christ is coming back.

God wants people who will see the crowd and not be intimidated by them but will climb up and rip roofs off to declare and fulfill the work of God. The ship is filled with ordinary Christians and God wants us to begin to operate in the supernatural. For man sees the work of our hands in the church, but not enough work is being done for God’s Kingdom. God’s Kingdom is always bigger than the church.

The greatest commission is to come out of the ship of religiosity, break the limits, break through our circumstances, break the bonds of the world and get to the other side: The other side is the Kingdom of God. For the world awaits the manifestations of the sons and daughters of God to lead the captives out of captivity, open the eyes of the blind, open the ears of the deaf, and lead them on the path to Kingdom Living, Kingdom Ministry and Kingdom Relationships through Jesus Christ.

The church is the forerunner for the Kingdom of God. Let us go forth and gather the harvest for it is already ripe.

Let us not confine our selves to how the world sees us, to our own traditions and cultures but let us step into the unchartered waters and let us do the work God created in us to do.

I have decided that today will never be a down day for me and have even gone further to speak into my life that I will never have another down day in my life, irrespective of the circumstances that surrounds me. Never allow temporary crisis to create permanent wounds in your life.

Our Experiences

a.) Some are killed as a more excellent sacrifice is made by faith yet their blood continues to become God’s personal testimony (Hebrews 11:4)
b.) Some are thrown in the fire because of the stand taken for holiness and truth yet they can still join the Holy Ghost fire party with Jesus Christ Himself being the host. Daniel 3:1-30 but let us read verse 24-25 “…did we not cast three men bound into the fire?……Lo I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire and they have no hurt and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.”
c.) The roaring lions in your den will even fall at your feet in quiet reverence to the presence of God, when you open your mouth to pray. HALLELUJAH!! (Daniel 6:20)
d.) Some experiences are like a prison: no matter what you try or do right things just do not improve or change but still keep your mouth filled with praise and prayer. Acts 16:25 “And at midnight (the darkest moment) Paul and Silas prayed and sang praises unto God……and… the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s bands were loosed”. Awesome! Awesome! Just awesome what God will immediately do when we open our mouth in prayer and praise even in the darkest of the present darkness.

Keep on keeping on. It is not based on how you are feeling but on what God has decreed over your life and it is not His will for any to perish.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the presence, provision, protection and power of God every day of my life. I mean everyday.

The Bible teaches in Proverbs 18:20-21 our inner man is fed by the fruit of our mouth and the more we speak the more we become aligned in character and personality with those said words. Death and life are in the power of the tongue and they that love it shall eat the fruit of it.

A thankful heart will never experience depression; I will bless the Lord at all times and His praises shall continually be in my mouth. Take a moment now, lift your hand to heaven and give a praise offering to God.

Today I take all the recipients of this devotional to the altar of God in our mid-day prayer. Expect by faith today. Hallelujah!!

This Sunday’s sermon was taken from John Chapter 13 and 18.

In every one of us dwell or exists a little desire to betray truth (Peter), and hopefully a lot of love for truth (John). Intimacy and closeness to God doesn’t define loyalty, Jesus sat in the midst of Judas and John with Peter also around the table. John leaned on his breast, Judas dipped from his plate and Peter shared in the meal. Yet Judas’ intimacy was the kiss of betrayal. It is interesting to note that the one who betrayed had access to the enemy and the friends, to find the chief priest the accusers.

On the other hand, there is something special about Peter. Before he followed Jesus he was a partner with his father in a successful fishing business but left all to follow Jesus.

Peter was full of imperfections, yet Jesus chose him to be on his team. Jesus tried to wash his feet, he said no, Jesus rebuked him for it, he said Jesus wash his feet, he said Jesus wash me from head to toe. A very impulsive individual; a kind of rough neck, radical guy who travels with his sword at all times. He was quick to jump out of the ship in an attempt to walk on water just like Jesus was doing. “That’s cool” he said, I want to try it too.” On seeing the glory of God on the mount of transfiguration he was the first to open his mouth, “let us build three tabernacles for Moses, Elijah and Jesus.” A young man full of zeal and enthusiasm but without the knowledge. He also denied Jesus three times and even after the resurrection almost cursed when Jesus asked him three times if he loves Him more than fishing.

Yet he was never left out by Jesus, he repented and was anointed to lead the team into the new era of the apostolic and church age. He preached of the most profound sermons ever that yielded a harvest of 3,000 converted souls.

Judas knew the personalities of Jesus, he knew at any time of day where to find Jesus and even though he knew Jesus intimately he repented of what he did, and even though he repented he couldn’t forgive himself, therefore self-destruction and suicide took over.

Jesus doesn’t want us to fall in the trap. If we fall he wants us to get back up, shake off the dust, repent and continue to do what he has commanded us to do.

Pastor Bill Thompson grew up in the inner city of Kingston Jamaica. A graduate of Tivoli Gardens High School, he holds masters in “street creds.” A truly humble man of God, he once found himself in the company of some of the most dangerous and notorious men in Jamaica; he has seen it and done it all. Pastor Thompson grew up with his mother, who did all she can to provide and care for her children. She was a woman who feared God and placed Him at the head of her home, and trusted Him to father her family in the absence of a father figure.

Pastor Bill as he is affectionately called; knew there had to be a greater purpose for him to fulfill, decided he has had enough of the normalcy of life and that he would seek after the Greater Man.

Now, Pastor Bill is an Associate Pastor at the Faith International Harvest Church (FHIC), his portfolio and responsibilities include Sunday School, Men’s Ministry and assists in the Leadership of the Evangelistic department. When asked how he can make a difference to these departments to motivate change to show how he leans on God, he says “there is nothing he can do for God as God is the one who brings the change, “He just placed me here so they can see the change.”

Pastor Bill’s life mission is geared to impact and fulfill the predestined destiny that God has for his life. To let the men of the world see that guns, drugs, gangbanging and hopping from jail to jail is not the place they should be. Life is not over because you’ve made mistakes, but rather to come to God and let him reveal himself to you.

Over 20 members of Faith International Harvest Church travelled to Heritage Tabernacle in New London, CT, where Bishop Collins preached a life impaction and prophetic theme word “Let’s go forward” (Exodus 14:15). It was suiting, as the church had just finished renovations and began a repositioning process of resetting the platforms for overcoming life’s obstacles and living in the fulfilled will of God. It starts with a changed mindset (the “TURN” in verse 2). For us to get a new heart we have to go through the “TURN.” His permissive will you can be realigned into His perfect will.

“Repent and turn, God will do a positional shift,” said Bishop Collins to Heritage Tabernacle congregants. Prophecies were released upon the people as the Holy Spirit gave utterance. God made a shift at Heritage Tabernacle to bring the people into a greater dimension.

“1Sam 30:8 “And David inquired at the Lord saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? Shall I overtake them? And He answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them and without fail recover all ”

After David and his men went out to war, the Amalekites invaded their city, burnt it and took their wives and children captive. David and all the men began to weep and feel distressed. But…David encouraged himself in the Lord. He asked God should I go after them? Will I overtake them?

We have been through some tough times and went through some really scary situations. It seemed everything was lost and it couldn’t get worse. But God is saying you shall recover. God is going to restore everything you thought you lost. It might sound cliche but everything the devil did to you God is saying He will restore it double because of your faithfulness. Remember Job, despite everything he went through, sickness, poverty, accusations, loss of family and friends he remained faithful to God. And because of his faithfulness God rewarded him, he came out better than he went in. (“Job 42:12.” )

God said to David, Go, because you will without fail recover all.

Recover: regain something, return to former state or return to right position.

This is the season to take back some things and take your rightful position as sons and daughters of God, step into your purpose and divine destiny. Satan is there hoping you will cry and hang your head in defeat but know your identity (“St John1:14.” ). You are a child of God and if earthly fathers’ know how to give good gifts what about our heavenly Father, (“Matthew 7:11.” ). You are a miracle waiting to happen, you are a charged, anointed time bomb waiting to explode and the devil cannot stop it because there is power in your hand, upon your tongue and in your spirit.

This is the season of recovery, when we take back what God had predestined from the existence of creation. God said to go for you shall without fail recover all because He will go with you.

God bless you.
